October 5th, 2012 - The Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (APAAC) and Connecticut Asian American Business (CAAB) awarded the Asian Pacific American Entrepreneurship award for Connecticut Job Growth to Dr. Ramesh Wadhwani, CEO/President of SAI Systems International, Inc. (SAI Systems). This award is in recognition of exemplary entrepreneurship and leadership among the Asian Pacific American community of Connecticut.
Dr. Wadhwani stated, "We are truly honored to receive this award and recognition from APAAC and CAAB. The Asian Pacific American business event recognizing Asian Pacific American leaders and entrepreneurs by APAAC and CAAB was held on Friday, October 5th, 2012 at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, CT.
Eminent speakers at the event included United States Senator Richard Blumenthal, CT State Comptroller Kevin Lembo, CT Office of the State Treasurer Deputy Treasurer Christine Shaw, Department of Economic and Community Development Specialist Lindy Gold, Small Business Development Center International Trade Specialist Jacqueline Torcellini, President and CEO of USPAACC, Susan Au Allen and President and CEO of the Jackson Laboratory, Dr. Edison T. Liu.
Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (APAAC)
The Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission was created in 2008 by an act of the Connecticut General Assembly. Under Public Act 08-166 and subsequently amended by the September Special Session, Public Act 09-7, this 21 member bipartisan commission generally oversees matters concerning the Asian Pacific American population in Connecticut.
Connecticut Asian American Business (CAAB)
The Connecticut Asian American Business is a joint venture between APAAC and the Asian Pacific American business community of Connecticut. CAAB seeks to unite and assist the Asian Pacific American business owners and hopefuls of Connecticut in terms of networking, education, and access to resources to help entrepreneurs in their quest to start, grow and succeed in their businesses and create new jobs.

The Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC), an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), after evaluating and going through several nominations, appointed Dr. Ramesh Wadhwani, CEO/President of SAI Systems International, Inc. on its Board of Directors. Dr. Ramesh Wadhwani has been a strong supporter of the Minority Business Enterprises and has been actively engaged through GNEMSDC programs for outreach and mentoring other small businesses. As per Carlton O'Neal, Owner of LightSpeed and former President of the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC), "Dr. Ramesh has always been fully supportive of the mission and goals of the organization through members of his organization and should definitely be on the board." Dr. Ramesh stated that he was honored to be appointed on the Board and thanked the board for considering his nomination and the selection. Dr. Ramesh was quoted as saying " I would be a representative for all the Minority Business Enterprises and am committed to their further development and growth."
The GNEMSDC is a non-profit affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). The GNEMSDC membership consists of local and national Fortune 500 corporations, government agencies, universities, financial institutions, associations and organizations. Since 1974, GNEMSDC has provided services to these members and to our certified minority business enterprises (MBEs). The Council is governed by a Board of Directors and funded by corporate membership dues, certification fees, contributions, in-kind services and grants. The GNEMSDC serves the entire six New England States: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

SAI Systems Awarded IT Helpdesk contract from State of Connecticut

SAI Systems International, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract from the State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Service (DAS) to provide IT Helpdesk Services to all State Agencies and Political Subdivisions. The estimated value of the contract is $500,000 annually, spread over a two year term.
Under the terms of this contract, SAI Systems will offer storage, asset tagging, hardware configuration, on-site desktop imaging, off-site desktop imaging, delivery, desktop installation, on-site asset tagging and hardware removal/relocation.
